Galaxy Council Member of the Month
Member of the Month – Each month the Galaxy Community Council profiles one of its members. This month’s member is:
Bob McLeod grew up in the State of Maine but soon found himself in Enfield Connecticut working for United Technologies in 1984. He spent 30 years working closely around many aerospace projects and always enjoyed his association with planes at UTC.
After his retirement in 2013 Bob he began looking to get more involved in other activities. At that time several of his friends were already members of the Galaxy Community Council and he had participated in many functions at Westover over the years. So to become a member of the GCC was a very natural progression for him. Bob is honored to support the base and the men and women of United States Air Force. Having attended several Air Shows in the past Bob was thrilled to have the opportunity to work behind the scenes at the most recent show selling hotdogs and anything else that needed to be done.
Bob and his wife Allison have two adult children, Adam and Matthew. Allison teaches third grade in the Springfield public school system and while Adam works for the Goodyear tire company in their service center and Matthew served in United States Army and still lives in Washington working at the Pentagon as a civilian.
Thank you for your dedication to the GCC Bob, it’s people like you that make this a great organization!
