Galaxy Council Member of the Month
Member of the Month – Each month the Galaxy Community Council profiles one of its members. This month’s member is:
Frank Kolek – Why would someone join the Galaxy Community Council? Among the reasons are: it’s because they enjoy the military atmosphere, the airplanes the spirit of the people and the pride in serving their country. Frank Kolek fits into that mode. Frank joined the Air Force and learned how to repair Inertial Navigation Systems on the F-4 Phantom jets assigned to Seymour – Johnson AFB in Goldsboro, North Carolina. His Air Force assignments included two TDY tours in South Korea during the 1968 Pueblo incident. Frank’s civilian career was comprised of 22 years with AT&T followed by the past 19 years at the University of Massachusetts – Amherst Office of Information Technology. Married to the former Ruth Osetek for the last 27 years, Frank is the father two children Michelle and Timothy and has two grandchildren, Angie and Frederick. Frank enjoys being a member of the Galaxy Council and the Galaxy Council enjoys having Frank as a member. It’s people like Frank Kolek that make the Galaxy Council the great organization that it is.
