Galaxy Council Member of the Month
Lisa Ladas – Did you ever think that you are so busy that you couldn’t do another thing? If so, ask Lisa Ladas how, in addition to working full time and raising three teenagers, she has time to do so many additional things in an average day.
Born in Guyana, South America, then eighteen year old Lisa came to the United States where she met her future husband George. Lisa and George married in 1991 and have three children, Andrew, Stephanie and Cindy. In addition to her job at Taylor Rental in South Hadley and Hadley where she is employed as an Event Specialist/Party Planner, Lisa also works as a bartender for private parties. She also teaches cake decorating. You would think that would be enough to tire an average person but…Lisa is not average! Working as a volunteer wellness instructor at the Holyoke YMCA, Lisa met Joanne Goddeau. Joanne told Lisa about the Galaxy Community Council and how it supports our troops and the benefits of being a Galaxy member. Lisa joined the Galaxy Council in 2005 and has not been disappointed. “I am so grateful for the protection that our armed forces provide me. I feel that the volunteer work I do with the Galaxy Council somewhat shows my appreciation for allowing me to live in this wonderful country”. Lisa also stated that she thoroughly enjoys working with Galaxy members at the air shows and Family Day Picnics and the friendly atmosphere present among the Galaxy membership.
Lisa Ladas is a fine example of the type of member that makes the Galaxy Council such a great organization. Thanks Lisa for your support.
